Have you heard that grapefruit can help you lose weight? It's as simple as that lemon water you always use but this time cut up a few wedges of grapefruit and squeeze the juice into your water (hot or cold.) To make things even easier place a couple thin slices right into your glass.
Grapefruit water itself isn't a magic weight-loss drink, the fruit is a low-cal way to add vibrant flavor to you next H2O on the rocks. Grapefruit is considered a fat-burning food that can kick-start your metabolism and helps to curb those cravings.
Try this recipe for Grapefruit water below:
Place 1 thinly sliced grapefruit in a pitcher.
For still infused water, add 2 quarts of water.
For sparkling water, add 1 quart of seltzer during prep and a second quart just before serving.
Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours to allow the grapefruit to infuse.
Stir well and strain, discarding the grapefruit.
For serving, add fresh grapefruit slices for garnish and plenty of ice.
The infused water will keep refrigerated for up to 2 days.
