Different Goals, Different People

I always cringe when I hear someone try to compare how they want to look to someone else. Unfortunately, only a doctor can make you look similar to someone else, but never the same.

Not all women are in the gym to lose weight and not all men are in the gym to bulk up.

Fitness and health can be so many things to different folks. One person it may be about weight loss, the next about lean muscle, her over there maintaining current goals, those two right over there power lifting competition, him over there cutting for competition and the list goes on and on.

LOVE the body and skin you are in and never compare or compete with others.

What do I do, you ask?

I make a large goal of fitness and nutrition. This comes from the questions: What is my ideal weight, size, look? I then take that BIG GOAL and split it into smaller goals and then those small goals into weekly goals.

I also set goals not just in weight and size, but strength, repetitions and endurance.

If I'm having a bummed out week with scale or size not changing, I know I can be uplifted by, "I did an extra set," "Yay, I beat my last time," "Went from 10lbs to 15lbs," "I can do 20 instead of 15 reps" and so on and so on.

Staying motivated, setting obtainable goals and staying positive are KEYS TO SUCCESS!!

No excuses! Hard work and dedication will always get you closer to your goals. Encourage others don't put them down!

Now, I'm not going to lie I have plenty of days where skipping a workout, eating that delicious fatty meal, having those FudgeeOs is so much better! You know what?! When I want it I eat it or if I'm tired I listen to my body and take that day off or do a lower impact workout.

It is all about balance. Some days just will be harder than others, but its the point of never stopping and always pushing to the next. No one is perfect in this world so love you, encourage others and stay motivated.
